  Prison Block is a first-person roguelike set inside a maximum security prison where your stats, your gear, your hustle, and your fists are the only things standing between you and three knockouts. Each run starts with a fresh inmate and ends with either the Warden on the floor — or you.

  DO TIME YOUR WAY

  The prison runs on a daily schedule. You've got Freetime in the morning, Lunchtime to work the yard, another window in the afternoon, and then Lockdown. What you do with those hours is up to you.

  Hit the treadmill and push your agility. Shoot hoops with Mohawk for a random stat payout. Work the bench press and gamble your way to raw strength — or lose a point trying. Every activity is a choice. Every day counts.

  BUILD A FIGHTER

  Distribute starting stat points across Strength, Toughness, Agility, Vitality, and Energy and watch them compound as the run progresses. Gear up with armor sets that carry hidden bonuses. Stock your combat slots with the right consumables. The difference between a prisoner and a problem is preparation. Turn-based fights reward positioning, energy management, and knowing when to defend and when to go heavy. Swing wild and you'll eat a counter. Play it smart and even the toughest inmates can be taken apart piece by piece.

  WORK THE YARD

  Every inmate has something you want and something they want back. Trade contraband, build reputation, unlock new vendors, and climb the hierarchy from first-day nobody to yard legend. Named inmates each have their own fight style and reward — defeat them and unlock their look for future runs.

The Fight Pit is where reputations are made. Petty fights pad your record. Rep fights test your build. And at the top of the chain sits the Warden — the only fight that ends your run with something to show for it.

  Most inmates don't make it to the Warden. Some don't make it to day three. Figure out the systems, build the right run, and maybe — maybe — you walk out of here with your head up. Everyone else gets carried out.

NEW! Difficulty settings

  Difficulty Selection

  You can now pick your difficulty from the character creation screen before starting a run. Five options:

  - Easy — the base game experience, same as it's always been

  - Normal — enemies hit harder, live longer, and stat gains from activities are slightly reduced

  - Hard — available from the start, noticeably tougher across the board

  - Expert — unlocked by beating the Warden on Hard. Near-guaranteed enemy hit rates, significantly beefed HP, and  training gains start to hurt

  - Maximum Security — unlocked by beating Expert. Enemies hit almost every turn, HP pools are more than doubled, and activity gains are nearly halved. Not for the faint of heart

  Expert and Maximum Security come with exclusive achievements and items that can't be earned on lower difficulties.
